Alicia Clarke and Sebastian ‘Cosmo’ Soto of Double Deuce Lounge guest shift at F*nkytown
18 February, 7-11pm
Prepare for trouble, and make it double. All the way from Sydney, ‘Straya, Double Deuce Lounge’s identity is inspired by 1970s porno chic period, with bowling shirts, booty shorts, and cocktail names with double entendres. For one night only, General Manager Alicia Clarke and Co-Owner Sebastian ‘Cosmo’ Soto will be penetrating their way into our hearts from behind the bar at F*nkytown. One of the cocktails they’re bringing is named “Two In The Pink,” so that’s an already good enough reason to go.

Josh Harris and Nick Amano-Dolan of Trick Dog guest shift at Tropic City
18 February, 8pm onwards
San Francisco’s local favourite drinking spot Trick Dog is fun, playful, but never not serious about their cocktails. Resident showmen Josh Harris and Nick Amano-Dolan will be presenting the bar menu, “Dogs, The Musical,” featuring musical theatre-inspired drinks that will turn your face to the moonlight. Plus, with the energetic ambiance of Tropic City, you’ll feel so good you’ll almost be defying gravity. You can’t stop the beat from their resident DJ, but you can yearn for one day more.

César Montilla and Julian Mayrhofer of Dr. Stravinsky guest shift at SIN Rooftop Bar
18 February, 7pm onwards
Barcelona’s Dr. Stravinsky is what happens when geeky science people become cocktail lovers. Their lab uses a lot of century-old techniques, working in tandem with local producers. Most of the ingredients on the menu are done in-house. SIN Rooftop Bar will be hosting César Montilla and Julian Mayrhofer, two of the creative minds behind the bar programme, as they shake up a storm until they run out.

Lorenzo Antinori of Bar Leone guest shift at The Bamboo Bar
19 February, 7.30-11.30pm
Ranked No. 2 on The World’s 50 Best Bars 2024, and No. 1 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2024, Bar Leone is not an Italian aperitivo spot in Hong Kong, it’s the Italian aperitivo spot in Hong Kong. For one night only, it will be the maestro himself, Lorenzo Antinori, taking over Bamboo Bar at The Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok. He will also be bringing the bar’s signature mortadella sandwich and smoked olives available for order.

Bar Us’ 2nd anniversary with Matt Whiley of Re, Vijay Mudaliar of Analogue & Native, and Yong Wei of Native

This week, it’s just the two of us. Bar Us is celebrating their second anniversary with guest bartenders Matt Whiley of Re, Sydney, Vijay Mudaliar of Analogue & Native, Singapore, and Yong Wei of Native, Singapore. With a star-studded cast of bartenders behind the bar, it’s going to be a very special night with a lot of cocktails to try.

Pei Liu and Rita of unDer Lab guest shift at Dry Wave Cocktail Studio
19 February, 7pm onwards
This time, the dry waves are going under, as Taipei’s unDer Lab takes over the bar of Dry Wave Cocktail Studio. unDer Lab’s cocktail programme changes with the seasons, while incorporating teas and local ingredients into the experience. With Pei Liu and Rita behind the stations, consider it done on the hospitality side.

Chef Pinaki Ray of Yantra Singapore kitchen pop-up at Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok
20-28 February, 5pm onwards
Yantra Singapore is a dining destination beloved for their modern take on Indian cuisine, with elevated presentations and techniques, while maintaining the punch of flavours and aromas the cuisine is known for. At the helm is Chef Pinaki Ray with extensive experience of celebrating Indian cuisine, having worked at Raffles Singapore, Marina Bay Sands Singapore, and more. His pop-up in Siam Kempinski is available for dinner only, offering seven courses per session.

Niza Pranisa of Origin Bar guest shift at Stella Bangkok

Ranked No. 32 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2024, Shangri-La Singapore’s Origin Bar feels old-world meets modernity, like the best of both worlds in one glass. Their head bartender, Niza Pranisa, will be taking over the bar at Stella for one night. Expect bold flavours and warm hospitality unlike any other.

Aris Sanjaya Putra, World Class People’s Choice 2024, guest shift at Abar Rooftop
20 February, 7.30-11.30pm
Aris Sanjaya Putra is certainly a big name in Bali’s cocktail scene, having worked alongside bartenders from all around the world since his start. He currently looks after beverage programmes for a number of prestigious venues, including SYRCO BASE, a Balinese restaurant helmed by the acclaimed Chef Syrco Bakker. At the latest World Class Bartender Competition, he won the World Class People’s Choice 2024 award, along with being the runner-up for the World Class Global Bartender award. He’ll be shaking up a storm for one evening at Abar Rooftop, with fun drinks that you won’t forget in a hurry.

‘Among the Stars’ art exhibition by 10 artists at River City Bangkok
Until 30 March
Knowing ourselves is knowing the universe. After all, we’re made of star-stuff, so the cosmos is well within us. For this exhibition, 10 artists are tasked to present their own star. Some think of whimsical creatures and bright colours, others bring in pop culture and relatability into their brush strokes. Peer into each artist’s mind through this otherworldly exhibition running at River City. Participating artists include Eggzy Lin, fufufanny, JD Wang, LAZY BUG, ODOM Tseng, Pucky, Robin Huang, Tos Suntos, VIN, and XIN.
