Women of Bangkok, this time, it’s for you gals. International Women’s Day 2024 is coming up, so grab your girlfriends, feel the sisterhood, and make it the night out of the year.

International Women’s Day is celebrated on 8 March every year. In Bangkok, International Women’s Day is about going out and feeling the female camaraderie. It’s still a man’s man’s man’s world, but the more we keep being who we are and highlighting each other’s accomplishments, we get closer to it not being as such.

“Fem Power” at Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok

8 March, 6pm onwards

It’s an event by women, full of women, for women. CRAFT will be welcoming the presence of Thai-Italian female singer Valentina Ploy with her acoustic set from 7.30-8.15pm, then onto rising star Flower.far performing at Bar.Yard from 9.30-10.30pm. DJ Poyjii and DJ Vida will also be behind the booth at Bar.Yard from 6pm till late to complete this women-centric fun. Plus, there’ll be special cocktails by Lady Trieu Gin.

“Women of Bangkok” guest shifts at Iron Balls – The Parlour

8 March, 8pm-midnight

Guest shifts at The Parlour are famed for having one of the best energies in Bangkok, and for International Women’s Day, they’re bringing in four amazing women in two rounds of guest shifts. From 8-10pm, The Parlour’s own Luce will be behind the bar with Campari Asia’s Regional Brand Ambassador Symphony Liu. From 10pm till midnight, get ready to party with May from The Parlour, and international sensation Nicole, head bartender of The Pontiac, Hong Kong. A portion of all proceeds go towards Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer (QSCBC Foundation).

“Women in Hospitality 2024” at Banyan Tree Bangkok

1-8 March

Banyan Tree Bangkok is bringing in both local and international talents to demonstrate all the impressive things women of the hospitality industry do. Savour authentic Thai flavours at the ‘8-Hand Women in Gastronomy’ event, and experience the female power at Moon Bar as guest bartenders take over the bar from 1-8 March. 30% of the event’s revenue will be donated to the Halfway Home for Women Foundation.

“The O.S.S. Allies” series of female guest bartenders at The O.S.S. Bar

1, 5, 16, 21, 23, 26 March

All month long, the spy-themed bar at Jim Thompson House is celebrating women by inviting an impressive roster of female bartenders to take over the bar. Air, Pumpui, and Saimai will be joining hands for one night on 1 March, Korea’s own Lina Kang of IT Bar will be taking over on 5 March, Alex from OTO Bar, Manila will be on standby on 16 March, Lost in Thaislation’s red-haired fairy Fahbeer is on queue for 21 March, The Bamboo Bar’s Chanel Adams will be working her magic on 23 March, and lastly Jameson Thailand’s brand ambassador Moa will be closing out the big event on 26 March. For one night only, The Black Cat’s jazzy atmosphere will be met with the hospitality of Tangmo from Zuma Bangkok. She’s bringing a Japanese garden as part of the drinks menu, and it’s perfect for a night out with some great company. Throughout 1-10 March, Choann, beverage and bar manager of Sindhorn Midtown Hotel Bangkok is also teaming up with Lady Trieu Gin to bring a special array of cocktails available for a limited time.
