‘Sometimes I Lost, Sometimes I Found’ exhibition by Zito Hsu at River City Bangkok

18 January – 23 February

Through a call for submissions on things people have lost, Zito received countless recollections of lost pens, umbrellas, and the like, as well as intangible objects from lost time, to the sense of childhood innocence. In this solo exhibition, Zito puts those stories into paintings — the things we have lost, and our emotional connection tied to those objects. At the same time, by losing things, those memories become a part of us, and can lead to a sort of self-rediscovery.

‘Belief Interweave’ art exhibition by Wuthigrai Siriphon at Rosewood Bangkok

Until 9 April (guided tours on Sundays, 11-12pm)

‘Belief Interweave’ presents intricate textile work from Thai artist Wuthigrai Siriphon. Wuthigrai is inspired by temple architecture and murals across Thailand, using shapes and colours from those art works. The most interesting bit, however, is that Wuthigrai found jewel bettle wings to be so beautiful, he wanted to make textiles out of it. So, with meticulous research and experimentation, he found a new medium for textile art, and this can be viewed free of charge at The Gallery.
