All the NYE parties in Bangkok

It’s time to say goodbye to 2024. Do so with a bang at all the NYE parties in Bangkok where you can do just that. Some may be eyeing a big feast to end the year with, while the rest of us are going for a more high-energy route. Whatever kind of vibes you prefer, there is sure to be one perfect for you. Toast to the new year with some champagne in hand, or other options if you don’t prefer the bubbly.

IGNIV’s ‘Review Menu’ featuring favourite dishes of the year

Until 4 January, 6-11pm

For a limited duration, IGNIV is serving up their ‘Review Menu,’ a curated selection of dishes picked by regular guests and the team. The menu features plates that became highlights of 2024, including rainbow trout with mountain kombu, pork cheek with tomato and chorizo, and, of course, Chef Arne’s signature souffle.

Special New Year sandos at Larder

1 January, 8am-5pm

Kick off the new year with good food — arguably the best way to kick off any occasion. Available for one day only, the Larder team is featuring a special set of sandos that will prepare you for whatever’s coming your way in 2025. Their tonkotsu sandwich contains spicy coleslaw, gruyere, and cheddar cheese, while the creamy egg sando will have generous portions of organic eggs, burrata, chili oil, and rocket pesto.

‘Mediterranean Quartet’ set menu at VIU Restaurant

1 January – 31 March, 12-3.30pm; 6-10pm

Executive Sous Chef Matteo Fontana of VIU Restaurant has come up with a brand new set menu to welcome the new year, focusing on utilising fresh local ingredients and reimagining classic recipes into more contemporary presentations. The four courses contain amberjack fish and avocado tartare, topped with Oscietra caviar, braised New Zealand lamb leg ravioli in saffron sauce, Valrhona chocolate pavlova, and a choice between mains of grilled Australian wagyu striploin or pan-seared Antarctic black cod.

Chocolate buffet at The Sukhothai Bangkok

4 January, 2-5pm

The Sukhothai’s chocolate buffet has dazzled guests for years, and it’s going to do the same for you. Gourmet chocolates, cakes, cheesecakes, freshly-brewed chocolate beverages, and many more — you name it. It’s the perfect chance to discover and learn the differences between chocolates from different regions. Plus, if you’re still feeling peckish, they also offer many savoury items, from sashimi to grilled meats.

Chickens from Nakhon Ratchasima province are revered for their sweet flavour and yellow colour from their free-range lifestyle. At The Siam Tea Room, Asiatique The Riverfront, Chef Aon Anukool has came up with limited-time menus utilising those chickens. Highlights include Korat chicken rice with ginger soybean paste sauce, steamed whole with herbs, and roasted whole while marinated with makhaw Sichuan pepper.

All-you-can-eat roast at The Deck Bangkok

4 January, 12-6pm

Let’s get this roast a-cookin’. The Deck Bangkok has prepared a big carvery, all-you-can-eat style, for two hours. Highlights include prime roasted Aussie beef, New Zealand lamb, Yorkshire pudding, and more, paired with an array of gravies they have available. If the occasion calls for a drink, they also have free-flow packages that will surely go well with the roasted meats.

Sunday jazzy brunch at Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit

5 January, 12-3pm

Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit’s jazzy brunch is getting yet another upgrade. With their ‘Sushi & Poke’ special, they’re featuring sushi and temaki selections by their Japanese cuisine experts, as well as a “build your own poke bowl” station for guests to, well, build their own poke bowls. It’s a great way to start off the year on a healthy note, and the live jazz certainly builds up a soothing ambiance.
