What to order: Midnight Negroni, served with squid tentacle flambé’d at the bar

Inspired by the architecture style of Brutalism, BRUT boasts cocktails beautiful in its simplicity. With an art exhibition space on the floor above, feel free to walk around and enjoy all the charming rawness of the place before sitting down and enjoying something boozy. Our tip is to ask the bartender for their “special menu” which includes an array of fun, food-inspired cocktails. They are serving, in both literal and figurative senses.

Josh Hotel’s The Key Room is a mainstay in the Ari nightlife scene and one of Bangkok’s OG speakeasies. Getting in requires you to go through the reception at Josh Hotel and getting a physical keycard to tap in. The signature cocktails are inspired by notes from famous composers throughout history, as well as the owner Mr Josh’s travels. “A Drop of Tokyo,” served in a sake bottle, made using vodka, sake, and just the right amount of wasabi.

What to order: Their “Hero Drink,” made from cinnamon-infused Sambuca

The Grey Area’s interior is as grey as can be, and that makes each cocktail pop more than ever, in both taste and aesthetic. It’s a casual, intimate cocktail spot that helps alleviate the troubles from a long day, and turns to a lively, vibey place once it gets packed. Keep an eye out for their promotions on drinks they have running via their social media. Although their signature cocktails are few compared to others, feel free to ask the bartender for something extra, or go on a classic cocktail adventure with them.

Steel seats, greenery creeping down the walls, and a sign above the bar with their tagline “Someday farmer, someday bartender” — you know the vibes will be so chill and the hospitality will be amazing just from seeing it from a distance. Order one of their signature cocktails to try, or if the atmosphere feels like a beer is more fitting, go for it; no judgments in this house.
