What to do in Bangkok: 12-18 March 2024
Brandon Khoo and Wisit Subpannarai guest shift at Sundry
12 March, 9pm-midnight
Prepare for trouble, and make it double. Brandon Khoo, Southeast Asia Monkey Shoulder brand ambassador, as well as Wisit, winner of Thailand’s Ultimate Bartender Championship 2023 will be standing behind the bars at Sundry for one night only, serving nothing but good whisky-based drinks, lively hospitality, and a little mischief. Just kidding, we know it’s not little.

Geisha night at Revolucion Cocktail
13 March, 6pm onwards
It’s a girls night out with a twist. Get into the spirit and charm of beautiful modern geishas as they twist and turn on the dance floor as guest DJs stand behind the booth playing funky house and city pop grooves. Umeshu, shochu, highballs, and sake are the stars of the night, and girls will be getting free selected drinks available till midnight. Of course, no night at Revolucion is complete without their flair bartending and fire shows.

“Masumi Sake Dinner” at Akira Back Bangkok
15 March, 5.30-10.30pm
It’s a treat to all the senses at Akira Back Bangkok as they bring in some of the finest sake selections from Masumi Brewery, which has been perfecting its craft since 1662. To make sure you enjoy all the tasting notes, the sake is paired with five courses from Akira Back’s kitchen team, including their signature Tuna Pizza with black truffles, Hokkaido scallops with kimchi butter, and Japanese Wagyu A5 as the main course. Katsuhiko Miyasaka, heir to the brewery, will also be introducing each sake.

Mia Restaurant x The Allium Bangkok six-hands dinner at The Allium Bangkok
14 March, 6pm onwards
The culinary duo Pongcharn “Top” Russell and Michelle Goh are beloved for their blend of Asian and European flavours, so much so that their restaurant Mia received a Michelin star for it last year. For one night only, they’re joining hands with Chef Remi Verrier from The Allium to create a five-course dinner with “water” as the theme. With the main course being steamed red prawns with mousseline sauce and grilled and raw seaweed, we know that it’s going to be a special kind of evening.

Bobby Kim and Alameen of Southside Parlor guest shift at Scarlett Bangkok

Standing proud on No. 37 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2023 list, Southside Parlor incorporates brings out the tastes of each ingredient by introducing fresh-press juices, along with homemade syrups and sodas into their drinks. For one night only, they’ll be bringing the Seoul hospitality into Bangkok as they stand behind the stations at Scarlett Bangkok. Each of their three drinks will spark joy in your hearts, and sure to pair well with the food menu from Scarlett’s kitchen.

“Fuckup Nights” stories session at Public House Bangkok

“Fuckup Nights” is all about people that have messed up, and how they used these experiences as learning opportunities to build up more resilience for their future ventures. Listen to inspiring stories by people who have experienced failure firsthand, with speakers including Yuthana Boonorm of GMM Grammy and Big Mountain, Kanokkan Rinnachi of Yell Advertising Bangkok, Prapavee Hematat of CEO of Group B Beer Thai Craft Beer Distributor, and Sunny Sachdev of Pronto Denim Group. “SpiceBen’s Chef Table” at MUST Wine Bar

MUST’s Managing Director Benjawan Wisootsat has experience curating dining experiences for many high-profile guests, including Germany’s Minister of Finance, Belgium’s prince and princess, amongst others. Now, she’s creating a limited-time menu available for one night only, showcasing her Thai-Chinese roots as well as the flavour profiles she has encountered on her travels. The wine pairing is also curated together with her daughter, Lily.
