The coming year is already shaping up to be a good year for concertgoers here in Bangkok. Coldplay and Ed Sheeran are set to return after being away for a few years, and on top of that, music icon Tom Jones will also make his way here to put on a show. We’re waiting with bated breath for more artists to announce Bangkok dates soon. These concerts being held in Bangkok in 2024 are ones you definitely don’t want to miss.

Coldplay – Music of the Spheres World Tour

Rajamangala National Stadium, February 3-4

After bringing the Head Full of Dreams Tour in 2017, British rock band Coldplay is set to return once again to Rajamangala Stadium next year, this time for two nights. But don’t dally: the February 3rd show is already sold out, so you better get on it if you want to cop tickets, which start at THB 1,800 and go all the way up to a cool THB 28,300.

Ed Sheeran – The Mathematics Tour

Ed Sheeran returns to Bangkok after four years and will sing his catalogue of songs from his Mathematics albums and his latest release, Autumn Variations. Expect to hear some of his more recent songs as well as fan favourites like “Galway Girl”, “Shape of You”, “Perfect”, and “Thinking Out Loud”. Don’t be surprised if someone proposes. Tickets are priced starting at THB 1,800. 

Sheeran also announced that he will be playing a more “intimate” gig at UOB Live Bangkok the next day. This show is available exclusively to UOB members only.

Rod Stewart – Live in Concert One Last Time (Cancelled)

It’s been 15 years since rock and roll icon Sir Rod Stewart did a tour in Asia, so it was exciting to hear he was coming back. The gravelly-voiced singer, who sang hits like “Maggie May” and “Have I Told You Lately”, was set to come to Bangkok in March to rock Impact Arena. Unfortunately, the concert was cancelled with no reason given as to why.

 

Tom Jones – Ages and Stages Tour

The legendary Sir Tom Jones is bringing his Ages and Stages Tour to Asia, and one of his stops is Bangkok. The octogenarian boasts a six-decade-long career, multiple Grammy Awards, and over 100 million records sold. He’ll be one of the first international artists to christen the brand new UOB LIVE @ EmSphere stage. Here’s hoping he sings “What’s New Pussycat?” 21 times. If you know, you know.

Bruno Mars – Live in Bangkok

After almost six years, Bruno Mars is making his way back to Bangkok. The singer-songwriter announced a week ago that he will be playing a one-night-only gig at Rajamangala Stadium. Pre-sales are going live on January 25 with general sales going live on the next day on January 26.

Laufey – Bewitched: The Goddess Tour

Summer Sonic, Impact Challenger Hall 1-3, Muang Thong Thani, August 24-25

The Icleandic-Chinese artist who’s been making waves on the music scene for her smooth voice and jazzy tunes is finally joining the fray of Bangkok concerts in 2024. Laufey will be part of the Summer Sonic festival here in Bangkok, which also includes other artists like Lauv, Nothing But Thieves, and local artists like Bodyslam. Along with Bangkok, the jazz crooner is also stopping by Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Taiwan, and Australia.

Tickets for Summer Sonic go on sale on April 26 and start at THB 3,500 for a one-day pass.

Suede – Summer Sonic Bangkok 2024

The British rock band has been added to the lineup of artists in this year’s Summer Sonic and is set to put on a show for us Bangkokians alongside OneRepublic and Laufey. Bangkok won’t be their only stop here in Asia. Suede is also set to play in China, Indonesia, and Malaysia.  Tickets start at THB 3,500 for a one-day pass.

Conan Gray – Found Heaven On Tour 2024

American singer-songwriter Conan Gray’s third album, Found Heaven, was released back on April 8 and reached #14 on the Billboard 200 Chart. Now, he’s bringing his tour to Asia. Kicking off in Indonesia on August, Gray will make stops in Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and of course, Thailand. Gray was here just last year for his “Superache” tour, which was held at Impact Exhibition Hall. For this show, however, Gray will be heading to the recently opened UOB Live @ EmSphere. Tickets start at THB 1,800 and are on sale now.

Olivia Rodrigo – GUTS World Tour

The GUTS World Tour is making its way to the Land of Smiles—for two shows. Only on her second album, Olivia Rodrigo already has five multi-platinum certifications, an American Music Award, and was named Entertainer of the Year in 2021 by Time.  This is the first time Rodrigo is playing Asia and Australia. Along with Thailand, she’s also making stops in Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan. Tickets for the September 16 show start at THB 1,800 with pre-sales starting on May 15. General sales start on May 16. For the September 15 show, which was added due to high demand, tickets go on sale on May 20.

Nile Rodgers and CHIC – Live in Bangkok

Time to get your groove on as legendary American artist Nile Rodgers and his band, CHIC, bring some disco goodness to Bangkok. The band is responsible for many disco anthems that still get everyone dancing to this day like “Everybody Dance”, “I Want Your Love”, and the iconic “Le Freak”. General sale for tickets go live on July 17 starting from THB 2,800.

LANY – A Beautiful Blur: The World Tour 2024

The American pop-rock band returns to Bangkok after their last concert in 2022. With the release of their eponymous album back in 2023, the duo are taking their brand new songs on the road with multiple stops in Asia including Singapore, Malaysia, and of course, Thailand. Their song “ILYSB” has reached platinum while four others—“Malibu Nights,” “Super Far,” “I Quit Drinking” with Kelsea Bal-lerini, and “Mean It” with Lauv—have reached gold.

Originally being held at Impact Challenger Hall, the organisers have since announced that the venue has been changed to UOB Live @ EmSphere and that all tickets are being refunded. No new ticket prices have been announced yet though the poster still says that they will start at a price of THB 2,300. Pre-sales will start on April 29 until May 12 and general sales will begin on May 13.

Jorja Smith – Falling or Flying Tour

The 27-year-old English singer-songwriter is set to get us vibing and grooving come October when she holds her very first concert here in Bangkok at Voice Space on Viphavadi Rangsit Road. Smith was the first indie artist to win the BRITS Critics’ Choice Award and her debut album, Lost & Found, was also nominated for a Mercury Award. Aside from that, she’s also collaborated with some of the biggest names in the business like Kendrick Lamar and Stormzy. Tickets are on sale now and are priced at THB 2,490.

Tate McRae – Think Later World Tour 2024

The Canadian singer, songwriter, and dancer is coming to Asia for the first time, making four stops with Bangkok being one of them. The multi-platinum artist kicked off her “Think Later World Tour” in Dublin, Ireland and has seen her headline Madison Square Garden for the first time in her career. After Asia, she’ll make her way to Australia and New Zealand before going back to Calgary for the North American leg of the tour. She’ll then end in Europe on May 22. The 20-year-old has had numerous singles charting on Billboard‘s lists and was also the youngest musician featured on Forbes‘ “30 Under 30” list.

Tickets start at THB 1,500. UOB Mastercard presale starts at 10am on April 27; Live Nation presale on  10am on April 29; and public sale on April 30.

Michael Learns to Rock – Take Us To Your Heart Tour 2024

It’s been eight years since Danish soft rock band Michael Learns to Rock were in the Land of Smiles. Their hits like “Sleeping Child”, “Paint My Love”, and “Take Me To Your Heart” serenaded the airwaves in the 90s and early 2000s, and they continue to hold a soft nostalgic spot in our hearts. Thankfully, Thailand will be one of their stops for their upcoming “Take Us To Your Heart Tour” along with Singapore, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Tickets are set to go live on September 26 at 8pm and will start priced at THB 2,500.

Imagine Dragons – Loom World Tour

Jurassic World‘s Owen Grady is a true legend. Raptor training is an incredible feat. And if you think training raptors is hard… Imagine Dragons.

Now that I have your attention, the American rock band is coming to Thailand to bring the Loom World Tour to our shores. Prepare to sing your heart out to hits like “Believer”, “Demons”, and “Radioactive” as the band, dubbed the “Biggest Band of 2017” by Billboard, returns to rock Bangkok for the fourth time. Pre-sale tickets go live on August 15 followed by the public sale on August 18. Ticket prices are yet to be announced.

Dua Lipa – Radical Optimism Tour

The English-Albanian singer-songwriter has made an indelible mark on the music industry as of late. Her songs are featured in hit movies like Barbie and have effortlessly become summer anthems that people sing and dance to on social media. She’s even tried her hand at acting with her small role in the 2024 film Argylle. Radical Optimism, her third album which was released on May, immediately shot to No. 1 in 11 countries. Shortly after, the London-born singer announced the “Radical Optimism Tour”, which kicks off in Berlin in June. Fortunately for us here in The Land of Smiles, she also added a show in Bangkok.

Live Nation Tero members have special access to pre-sale tickets starting on June 10 while general sale starts on June 11. No details yet on pricing.

James Blunt – The Way We Used to Be Tour

After 13 years since his first show in the Big Mango, English artist James Blunt is returning to Bangkok. The 50-year-old singer is bringing his “The Way We Used to Be Tour” here after a long-awaited comeback to Bangkok. Early bird tickets are live now until October 15 and are priced starting at THB 1,800. Regular tickets will be priced starting at THB 2,500.

Ronan Keating – Pattaya International Jazz Festival 2024

It’s not every day that you get to watch a free concert on the beach featuring a legendary crooner. Irish artist Ronan Keating is one of the members of Boyzone and is well-known for classics like “When You Say Nothing at All” and “If Tomorrow Never Comes”. Keating will be headlining the Pattaya International Jazz Festival this year, a concert done right on Pattaya Beach with no admission fee. Along with Keating, other talents like Tabitha King and Pure the Voice will also be performing. The Pattaya International Jazz Festival will take place from December 6 to 7 though Keating will only be performing on the 7th.
