As you realise the weather has started to cool down a bit, it’s a sign that you’ll need to do some shopping for the most festive season of all. Here are the Christmas markets in Bangkok that provide all your needs, from gifting to festive food treats.
Christmas markets date back to the late middle ages, as the Striezelmarkt in Dresden is known as one of the first Christmas markets, dating back to 1434. It became a popular advent custom in parts of Europe that speak German, as well as some parts of the Holy Roman Empire. Today, that custom has spread all over the world, bringing the joy and warmth of Christmas to even the people in Bangkok. Although not as large in size as the Christmas markets in Europe, you’ll still find all the festive essentials, whether it’s ornaments to decorate your tree with, or something to bring to the dining table.
Here are the best Christmas markets to check out in Bangkok this year.
