New Beauty Buys: Products to have on your radar this June 2024

We all know that Pixi’s On-the-Glow products are the ultimate summer must-haves. Recently, they released a new shade called CheekTone that not only hydrates the skin, but also reacts to one’s pH, providing a customised blush-lustre that complements your complexion. Formulated with ginseng, aloe vera, and various fruit extracts, this product comes in a gel, cream-like consistency that adds the right amount of luminosity, in just one sweep. It’s also paraben-free, vegan, and suitable for all skin types.

Gucci Beauty recently introduced their Gucci Neutrals, a collection of 15 lipstick shades, and one of our favourites is the Gucci Rouge à Lèvres Satin. This satin-finish lippy now has 6 new natural colours that are super pigmented and long lasting. It has a lightweight, creamy feel that moisturises the lips due to a formula containing oils as well as waxes and resin.

Don’t make the same beauty mistake as last year by not wearing your sunscreen, especially when Sol de Janeiro just released Rio Radiance. Within this collection come 3 products: a body lotion, body spray, and body oil, all containing SPF 50. The oil is protective, hydrating, moisturising, and absorbs into the skin super quickly, whereas the lotion leaves the body with a silky feel with its various antioxidants and moisturising ingredients. Our favourite has to be the body spray that contains coconut water and niacinamide.

We all know the importance of wearing sunscreen and reapplying it throughout the day. However, that task can be quite tedious unless you use Caudalie’s newest treasure, the Vinosun Protect. Available in a pocket-sized sun stick, this sunscreen is the perfect on-the-go item that will protect your skin. It also works great on top of make up as it doesn’t pile on your face.

Besides finally arriving in Thailand, the K-beauty brand Then I Met You has also launched a new cream called Bong2 Bounce Cream. This lightweight moisturiser contains vitamin-rich Hallabong extract, ceramides, and squalene, which help brighten the skin. It also has antioxidants, leaving the skin with a nice juicy glow. However, our sell-out point was how well this product works under sunscreen and makeup.

Gucci has released a new fragrance to join The Alchemist’s Garden collection, called ‘The Heart of Leo Eau de Parfum.’ Suitable for both men and women, this Amber elixir smells phenomenal. It’s fruity, aromatic, and woody, with lots of spice and hints of flowers. The complexity of this perfume is gentle yet strong, really depending on one’s body chemistry. Although it can be pretty intimidating at first, throughout the day, the scent dries down to a sweet powdery amber. Not to mention, you only need 3 spritzes to have it lasting all day long.

If you’ve ever wondered what makes Miss “me, espresso” “makeup so nice,” it’s the Makeup by Mario Soft Pop Plumping Blush Veil, which is now available in Thailand. Available in 6 shades, this butter-like blush blends so well into the skin, giving it a gorgeous natural pink hue. If you want the exact shade that Sabrina uses it’s Rose Crush. A tip for applying this product is to put it high up on your cheek bones for that natural blush flush.
