Patek Philippe unveils its first standalone boutique in Bangkok with Cortina Watch
Located on the ground floor of Central Embassy, get ready to witness architectural beauty inside the Patek Phillipe shop. The 108-square-metre boutique’s exterior features a brand new façade concept. With its grooved stoned walls on the outside that contrast the textured decorative panels and leather-clad walls visible through the display windows, this new design is sure to catch the eye of passerbys.
For the interior, every detail of the boutique has been thoughtfully curated. From the meticulously selected decor and watches on display, to the designated relaxing areas, every element chosen is to transport guests into the world of Patek Philippe’s timekeeping. Here, one can explore the brand’s history as the shop has a mini library dedicated to watchmaking. There’s even a bar set up on the right side of the shop and a VIP room serving drinks for guests to unwind while speaking to Cortina Watch retail specialists.
The store’s highlight has to be the unique triptych artwork. Inspired by the Peacock Ref. 1627M Cloisonné Enamel Dome Table Clock, this art piece showcases the elegant bird in different poses across three panels. In the middle, the peacock presents its train fully on display. Meanwhile, the opposite panels illustrate a beautiful scene with two peacocks, one green and one blue, sitting on the branches of a maple tree. Now, what makes these artistic depictions incredible is the crafting technique used. The artist employed a traditional method of cloisonné enamelling, which requires several days or even weeks to finish. With such great intricacy, the triptych truly captures the essence of the Dome Clock, paying homage to its exceptional design.
