Adventure and Precision: The New Khaki Aviation Pilot Collection from Hamilton

Hamilton extends its century-long legacy of elevating aviation watches for professional pilots, aeronautical enthusiasts, and adventurers with seven new models.

For over a century, Hamilton watches have been the pilots’ trusted companions in the cockpit. In 1918, Hamilton was chosen to time the first U.S. Airmail flight from New York to Washington, D.C., marking a landmark moment in aviation history. Since then, Hamilton has continued to innovate in aviation technology. The new Khaki Aviation Pilot collection, featuring seven models, blends our legacy of precise sky-timing with a passion for adventure.

Designed for aviation enthusiasts, the collection complements a classic leather flight jacket and aviator shades, capturing the spirit of exploration. The 36mm model features the H-10 automatic movement with an 80-hour power reserve and Nivachron™ balance spring, while the 42mm version houses the H-30 automatic movement. Both ensure clear visibility with Grade X1 Swiss Super-LumiNova® on the hands and enlarged numerals for quick readability in any lighting.

Inspired by the skies yet designed for everyday adventures, the Khaki series remains versatile and steadfast. Recognising that real-life excursions often diverge from the expected, each model boasts water resistance up to 10 bar (100 meters), ensuring reliability in any scenario.

The Khaki Aviation Pilot collection features four 36mm models and three 42mm models, marking a shift in aviation timepieces towards versatile daily wear. Combining cockpit-level precision with compact designs, they seamlessly transition from sky to land with style and functionality.

In the 36mm models, a stainless-steel bracelet complements black or midnight blue dials, reminiscent of clear skies from the flight deck. A white leather strap with a silver white dial suggests endless clouds, while a rose leather strap with a midnight blue dial in a rose gold PVD case reflects the contrast between dawn and dusk from a pilot’s perspective.

The trio of 42mm models features a day-date window, complemented by nickel hour and second hands. A stainless-steel bracelet with a rich blue dial evokes expansive, clear skies. Light leather with a silver dial reflects the precision of early aviation, while dark leather with a green dial pays homage to the Khaki’s adventurous outdoor heritage.
