LONGINES expands its Legend Diver collection with three new shades

Celebrating its 65^th anniversary, LONGINES introduces three new dial colours within its Legend Diver collection.

Over the past year, dive watches have been making a resurgence in popularity due to several factors. Whether it’s the market’s interest in outdoor activities or the fascination with all things vintage, many brands have been releasing new models that blend functionality with modern aesthetics. One of which is LONGINES, another leader in the world of luxury watches.

Known for being a symbol of sophistication due to its elegant and timeless design, LONGINES has a rich dive watch history, tracing back to 1958. However, it wasn’t until a year later that they introduced the iconic Longines Legend Diver, which featured a revolutionary Super-Compressor case with an internal rotating bezel and two screw-in crowns. And although today’s emblematic diver’s watch has been revamped, the design still pays homage to the original model.

LONGINES expands its Legend Diver collection with three new shades

The new Longines Legend Diver models come in a stainless steel case with three beautifully polished lacquered dials in green, terracotta and anthracite grey in the 39mm range. Similar to the blue and black dials launched last year, these latest models are certified as Divers’ Watches (ISO 6425), with water resistance up to 30 bar. All timepieces are also certified chronometers by the COSC (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres).

Powered by the exclusive Longines calibre L888.6, these timepieces have an extremely precise self-winding mechanical movement with a power reserve of up to 72 hours. The dial has no date, however, it does feature two crowns, an internal rotating bezel, as well as a domed sapphire crystal, making this timepiece a legend when it comes to design.

The hours and polished rhodium-plated arrow hands are coated in Super-LumiNova. For an extra safety feature, the seconds hand is treated with a luminescent tip to ensure the watch’s operation even in the dark. Lovely on the wrist, these models come with a stainless-steel bracelet with “grains-of-rice” links placed in the centre. It also features a double-safety folding clasp with micro-adjustment for flexibility and comfort.
