The year 2025 looks favourable for zodiac signs as they prepare to manifest good luck, health, wealth and prosperity. However, while it is promising to note that some signs will see abundant love, other zodiacs might feel uneasy in their relationships due to unfavourable planetary positions and cosmic conundrums, leading to tensions. Here are the zodiac signs that might break up in 2025.

While relationships are usually a tricky affair, they could get tougher in 2025, from an astrological point of view. The main reason is that Venus, the planet of love and money, will begin its retrograde in Aries between 1 and 27 March and in Pisces between 27 March and 12 April. This event will put zodiacs in an overall introspective mood, and force them to think about their values and have deep or emotional conversations with their ongoing romantic associations.
Another astrological phenomenon, which will not go down well with the love lives of some natives, is Saturn’s transit through Pisces. The planet of karma will transit through the dreamy water sign of Pisces from 1 September 2025 up until 26 February 2026. This will bring up the themes of isolation, and self-analysis and remove focus from love and romance.
Solar and lunar eclipses during this period will also strain the natives’ personal lives and relationships.
Which zodiac signs are headed for a break-up in 2025?
Aquarius (20 January – 18 February)
This intelligent air sign is known to be hyper-independent by nature. Though they have an altruistic mindset, they love their solitude. Saturn’s placement in their sign in 2025 will cause them to emotionally switch off. This unavailability will not be welcomed by their partners, causing a potential rift.
There might come a point when Aquarians would realise that they want to be on their own and not be committed to anyone. This might be the reason for separation from their spouse or partner.
Scorpio (23 October – 21 November)
Scorpio is an often misunderstood water sign known for its intense and intuitive nature. They are extremely passionate in love but are also known for a possessive streak, which makes them come off as untrusting and even vengeful.
The partial solar eclipse on 29 March 2025 will be in the sign of Aries but Scorpios will be affected by this phenomenon, too. This is because both Aries and Scorpio have the same sign lord: Mars. This will lead the Scorpio natives to be more brash and amplify their shortcomings in personal space.
Taurus (20 April – 20 May)
For Taureans, the biggest challenge in their relationship is that the planet of upheaval, innovation and transition, Uranus, will be influencing their sun. This will lead them to question their existing life choices and fight an impulse to make big changes.
Taurus is represented by a celestial bull and is ruled by the planet of love, Venus. This earth sign is usually rooted in a serious relationship and mostly honours their commitments. But this year will push them to think thoroughly and ask themselves if they are stuck in a rut when it comes to their marriage or relationships. They will be unafraid to move on if that is the case.
Leo (23 July – 22 August)
The Venus retrograde and Saturn’s influence on this fixed fire sign will have some transformational effects on their love life. While a separation or divorce may come as a piece of bad news, it would do wonders for Leos in the long run.
Leo natives might get confrontational in relationships and have an honest conversation with their partners if things are not working out. They will be unafraid to walk away from things that no longer serve them and their goals.
Pisces (19 February – 20 March)
Pisceans, denoted by the twin fish swimming in opposite directions, are dreamers when it comes to love and relationships. They are also one of the most emotional signs on the wheel. They are ruled by the planet of Neptune, the planet of dreams and fantasies. The Saturn transit in their sign will give them a rude reality check, forcing them to look at their life beyond the rose-tinted glass view. This might make them lose some close ties, including their romantic relationships.
They usually aim to avoid conflict and are ridden with self-doubt but this year, they will be brutally honest if things are not working out.
