Who is HIGHLIGHT?

HIGHLIGHT is a K-pop boyband quartet formed by members Yoon Doo-joon, Yang Yo-seob, Lee Ki-kwang and Son Dong-woon. Formerly known as BEAST, the group first debuted under the latter’s name in October 2009 under Cube Entertainment with the album ‘Beast is the B2ST’.
The group left Cube Entertainment in 2017 after their exclusive contract ended. They then joined their new agency Around Us Entertainment to re-debut as HIGHLIGHT.
BEAST was formerly a six-piece, but member Jang Hyun-Seung left the group in 2016 (during BEAST). The other member, Yong Jun-Hyung, subsequently left HIGHLIGHT in 2019.
HIGHLIGHT recently reclaimed the rights to their original name BEAST, through an agreement reached with the band’s previous agency, Cube Entertainment. In addition, the band can now use the trademark for BEAST, HIGHLIGHT’s agency Around Us Entertainment said in a press release on April 2024. But the band “will continue to release music as HIGHLIGHT,” the press release also revealed.
The ‘Lights Go On, Again’ tour also supports HIGHLIGHT’s latest EP album release, ‘Switch On’. It contains the lead single ‘Body’, an upbeat house track about confidence.
