Such are the modern traditions that many digital natives come to anticipate in the first week of December, with Spotify’s Year in Music campaign having received such immense popularity that it has now become an outright virtual event in itself.

The numbers don’t lie. Retaining the same signature flat animation styles from before, users would be taken on a slide-by-slide showcase of their listening habits, instead of the previous downwards scrolling format. What’s more, enhanced social media integration meant that these statistics could be easily shared to other platforms of your choice, the most popular being Instagram.
