Dom Hetrakul
Born on April 9, 1976, Dom Hetrakul is a well-known actor who has appeared in various Thai dramas and films. Most notably, he was also in the Hollywood production of Bangkok Dangerous, where he played Aran, and starred alongside Nicholas Cage. His recent works includes starring in the Thai series The Family, The Sky Without the Sun, and Soi Nakhee.
Apart from being an accomplished actor, model, and host, the 47-year-old comes from the renowned family behind Thai newspaper Daily News. Outside of his media life, Dom holds the managing director position at Britbike, the official distributor of Triumph motorcycles.
Maethi-Tayme Thapthimthong
Tayme, a London-born-and-raised actor, gained recognition primarily for his appearances in the films Skin Trade and Farang. However, his career in the entertainment industry really only began after he participated in the tenth season of Academy Fantasia, a popular Thai singing competition. Tayme captivated the audience with his friendly and authentic personality, winning second place and garnering massive support from fans. This achievement opened up new opportunities for him in the industry, enabling him to pursue his passion for both music and acting.
Patravadi Mejudhon
Patravadi Mejudhon, best ‘known as Khru Lek,’ has earned respect as a highly accomplished figure in the Thai entertainment industry. She is an actress, playwright, director, producer, and dramatic arts teacher at the Patravadi School in Hua Hin. Her work in developing projects to help troubled kids and giving back through art has earned her particular renown.
Patravadi’s love of theatre began when she saw a ballet performance in Thailand that creatively blended Eastern and Western styles. Although working in the theatre in Thailand that time was not considered prestigious, she decided to pursue her passion. She began with fashion design, modelling, and some acting until a producer approached her to do a live play on television.
Her performance caught the attention of a director who offered her a role in a film. This led to her debut in No Paradise for You, playing a middle-aged 45 year-old woman. This movie won her Best Actress at the Takkata Thong Awards in 1973, Thailand’s equivalent of the Oscars. Patravadi also received the National Artist in Performing Arts award in 2014. More recently, in 2018, she played the role of the matriarchal grandmother in the Thai-Chinese drama In Family We Trust.
