Microsoft might buy TikTok, Kratos might be going to Egypt, and Chris Evans isn’t coming back for Avengers: Doomsday but Doctor Strange will be apparently. Here’s what you may have missed this week in geek.
The Sims and The Sims 2 are being re-released in celebration of the franchise’s 25th anniversary
Everyone remembers the time when they first played The Sims and subsequently discovered that there’s fun in wreaking havoc over your digital avatar’s life. Well, you can relive those chaotic times now that the first two games have been re-released on PC. You can buy them together as The Sims 25th Birthday Bundle or separately if you want to be frugal. Both are available now on the EA app, Epic Games Store, and Steam.
Donald Trump says Microsoft could buy TikTok

According to Donald Trump who’s not actually the best source of reliable information, Microsoft is thinking of buying TikTok. The social media platform narrowly escaped the same abyss Vine and MySpace disappeared into in January thanks to Trump, who extended its time to find a buyer. Reuters reported that Microsoft has declined to comment.
A PSN account won’t be necessary to play PlayStation games on PC anymore

PC gamers have been baffled for years by the requirement to have a PlayStation Network account to play PlayStation games made available on the PC when… well, they don’t even own the console. But the PC Master Race can now rejoice because Sony announced that they will be doing away with that requirement. However, the company did say that those who do still link accounts will be awarded with in-game goodies.
The next God of War might be set in Egypt

A leaker has posited that Sony making a casting call for Middle Eastern actors for a AAA game might possibly be for the next God of War that will be set in Egypt. Though this is simply a rumour, the franchise going to Egypt is very plausible. The 2018 sequel/reboot was originally meant to take place in Egypt, and the ancient kingdom has been mentioned several times in the latest twp games. Kratos might very well be going toe-to-toe with the likes of Anubis and Khonshu soon.
Chris Evans and Benedict Cumberbatch speak up about MCU rumours

Benedict Cumberbatch is walking back his statement about Doctor Strange not being in Avengers: Doomsday. In an interview with Business Insider, the British actor said, “Don’t ever believe anything I say” and stated that the Sorcerer Supreme will be in the next Avengers film after all.
Another MCU actor—or former MCU actor, we should say—who has spoken about rumours is Chris Evans. After it was reported he would be back for Doomsday, which would mean both he and Robert Downey Jr. would be seen together in an MCU movie yet again, Evans put the reports to rest when he talked to Esquire about Anthony Mackie being the new Captain America. “This always happens. I mean, it happens every couple years—ever since Endgame,” he said. I’ve just stopped responding to it. Yeah, no—happily retired!”
Then again, who can trust what any MCU actor says any more? Thanks, Andrew Garfield.
The estate of one of the creators of Superman is suing Warner Bros.

The estate of Joe Shuster, one of the two creators of Superman, is suing Warner Bros. and DC Comics alleging that they have no rights to release the upcoming Superman movie or make money off the character in any way in certain territories. Warner Bros. said that they “will vigorously defend our rights” as per a report by Deadline.
The Sandman to end with upcoming second season
Dream’s story is coming to an end as Netflix and showrunner Allan Heinberg announced that the show will conclude with its second season. However, the timing has everyone theorising that the show might have been cancelled despite Heinberg saying it was always the production team’s plan to only have one more season. The end of the show comes on the heels of creator Neil Gaiman being accused of sexual assault, which has also put a hold on the next season of Good Omens over at Prime Video.
