The career timeline of Valentina Ploy: From Miss Universe to Coldplay

The X Factor and Amici (Italy) 2016

Growing up, Valentina was always a shy girl. However, one day a friend posted a video of her singing to Facebook. “I woke up, and suddenly everybody knew that I could actually sing.” This made Valentina post more covers, leading her to enter The X Factory and Amici in Italy, sparking her music career.

Move to Thailand and The Voice Thailand (2017)

After living in Italy all her life, Valentina Ploy decided to move to Thailand to pursue her music career, auditioning for The Voice Thailand Season 6. With her talent and charm, she caught the attention of Thai hip-hop artist, Joey Boy, who accepted her on his team. 

Winning second runner-up for Miss Universe Thailand (2018) 

Transitioning from the world of singing competitions to the glamorous realm of beauty pageants, Valentina Ploy fearlessly embarked on a new chapter in 2018. Undeterred by the unfamiliar terrain, she embraced this challenge and won second runner-up for Miss Universe Thailand. 

Officially signed with What The Duck label (2019)

Valentina Ploy became a full-time artist, signed under What The Duck, and releasing her first song, “See You In Life” in 2019.

First EP album Satellite (2020)

In June 2020, Valentina released her first-ever EP album Satellite. Composed of six songs — “See You in Life,” “Wire,” “More Than Gold,” “Let Go,” “Satellite,” and “Love You Better” — her first EP received over 20 million streams. 

Warner Music Asia signs Valentina Ploy (2022)

In 2022, Warner Music Asia partnered with What The Duck label, signing Valentina Ploy. 

Joining Simple Plan on stage (2023) 

When the band Simple Plan came for their “The Harder Than It Looks Tour” in Bangkok in 2023, Valentina was invited to sing with them on stage. 

Performs as Coldplay’s opening act (2024) 

Valentina Ploy’s perseverance led to good news in 2024, as she received an invitation to open for Coldplay. On February 3 and 4, 2024, Valentina performed a set of songs before the much-anticipated Coldplay “Music Of The Spheres World Tour” in Bangkok.
