Celebrity gossip page DeuxMoi alleged that an “A-list singer” had been cheated on by her “foreign actor boyfriend”, who stepped out on their relationship with a “blonde, semi-famous, LA-based influencer”, causing them to break up.

Speculations were rife that Keoghan would bring Carpenter as his plus one to the 2024 Golden Globes on 8 January 2024 where he was nominated for Best Actor in a Drama for the plot twist-riddled film Saltburn.
The Sun reported that the Dubliner had communicated about his relationship with ex-wife Alyson Kierans. “Barry thought it was best that Alyson was the first to know about him and Sabrina so she wouldn’t be hurt if she found out on social media,” stated the publication.
“He is spending a lot of time in the States and has invited Sabrina to be his ‘plus one’ at the Golden Globes. Alyson and Barry still communicate for the sake of Brando, and he has been open about his new relationship,” it further added.
But that did not happen, and he walked the carpet alone. However, the two went on an art gallery date in Los Angeles on 13 January.

Days after the news of the split broke, Keoghan shared that he gets “messages that no one should ever have to read them.” He posted a note on X (formerly Twitter), urging everyone to be respectful and mentioned he deactivated the account as he could “no longer let this stuff distract from my family and my work”.
He wrote, “My name has been dragged across the internet in ways I usually don’t respond too. I have to respond now because it’s getting to a place where there are too many lines being crossed.” Keoghan further added, “Absolute lies, hatred, disgusting commentary about my appearance, character, how I am as a parent and every other inhumane thing you can imagine. Dragging my character and everything I worked extremely hard for and stand for.”
