The most hilarious reactions on the internet to ‘Madame Web’

The internet has a lot to say about Sony’s new superhero movie. Here are some of the best reactions to Madame Web.

Sony’s latest addition to the Spiderverse (despite Dakota Johnson’s insistence that it’s not) was finally released into the world this past week, and it’s got people talking. That’s not necessarily a good thing. The trailers already weren’t promising with the line “He was in the Amazon with my mom when she was researching spiders right before she died” now becoming iconic and memable. Some hoped that Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeney, who’s been enjoying the success of her romcom Anyone But You, would be enough star power to save the film. Alas, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

We took a look at the Platform Formerly Known as Twitter to see what the interwebs had to say. They didn’t disappoint.

The internet’s best reactions to Madame Web

This user “praised” Dakota Johnson’s performance.

While this user applauded the stellar work of the writers.

Sony is on a roll—again, not necessarily a good thing.

Crime is really taking a turn for the worse.

Maybe Wiseaunian should be a film genre.

If you watched the movie, you’ll understand.

And finally, while everyone agrees the movie was bad, that doesn’t mean no one enjoyed it.

Madame Web is now in theatres—if you dare watch it.

Eric can be found lost in his own world jamming with headphones on while writing when he's not prepping for a DnD session or researching 'Star Wars' galactic history on Wookiepedia. A proud Ravenclaw, he loves playing (and writing about) video games, humming the 'Doctor Who' theme under his breath, and rewatching 'Friends', 'New Girl', and 'The West Wing'.
