Best Jeon So-nee movies & TV shows, from <i>Parasyte: The Grey</i> to <i>Soulmate</i>

From working on short films to becoming a South Korean sensation, Parasyte: The Grey actress Jeon So-nee’s best movies and TV shows are a testament to her rising career trajectory.

It was while attending the Department of Broadcasting Entertainment at Seoul Institute of the Arts that Jeon So-nee decided to try her luck in movies. She eventually made her acting debut in 2014 with the independent film Photo. However, it was only after her supporting role in the 2017 Korean drama Encounter, that Jeon So-nee became a household name. So much so that she was titled one of the most notable new actresses of 2018 in the January 2018 issue of Cine 21.

Jeon So-nee, who landed her first leading role in the 2020 tvN original When My Love Blooms, has to her credit multiple hit movies and TV shows. These include After My Death (2017), Jo Pil-ho: The Dawning Rage (2019), Our Blooming Youth (2023) and Parasyte: The Grey (2024).

Another feather to her cap is the hit romantic film Soulmate, which enjoyed a special premiere at the 28th Busan International Film Festival in October 2023. A remake of the Chinese film of the same name, it minted over USD 2,471,778 worldwide, according to the Korean Film Council.

Lest we forget the 2024 Netflix sci-fi horror Parasyte: The Grey, which is helmed by visionary Korean director Yeon Sang-ho, known for hits like Train to Busan (2016) and Hellbound (2021). One of the best Jeon So-nee starrer TV shows, Parasyte: The Grey offers “a nail-biting glimpse into the world of parasitic organisms and the relentless struggle of humanity against their invasion”, according to Netflix.
