What is Dubai Chocolate?
Dubbed the ‘Dubai Chocolate Bar’ by TikTok users, this milk chocolate sensation is filled with pistachios and knafeh or (kunafa), a crispy, shredded phyllo pastry. It’s a vibrant creation, often splashed with edible paint, but it’s what is inside that counts.
Knafeh, a beloved Middle Eastern dessert, brings a sweet, buttery crunch to the mix, creating an unforgettable combination with pistachio. The chocolate itself was born at Fix Dessert Chocolatier in Dubai, founded by British-Egyptian entrepreneur Sarah Hamouda. What started as a pregnancy craving in 2021 quickly became a side hustle that took off, with other flavours including cinnamon-spiced pastry with vanilla custard and caramel, or a rich mix of fudge and Nutella brownies.
