However, the race weekend also never disappoints on the party front, especially with a little help from Johnnie Walker.
Now in its fifth year as the official whisky of Formula One, Johnnie Walker wasn’t shy about raising the bar a few notches, lending its Midas touch to parties at premier nightlife destinations such as CÉ LA VI, Zouk, 1-Altitude, Wan, Baliza, and Magic Carpet. While guests at the former spent the night with the indulgent Johnnie Walker Aged 18 Years, the rest were gold-themed extravaganzas that fully embraced the thrill of the Formula One weekend with Johnnie Walker Frozen Gold, which sees the iconic Johnnie Walker Gold Label kept frozen for at least 24 hours to create a decadent liquid gold experience.
While CÉ LA VI chose to head into the future for its 2118 party, it was a blast back to the past at Zouk with its retro 8-bit video game-themed party. Meanwhile, Formula One fans at the Altimate Circuit Party had the best views of the race money could buy — perched 61 storeys up at the highest alfresco bar in the world.
