Nusara’s four-year and Nuss Bar’s first-year anniversary parties

30 July, 6-9pm

Prepare for trouble, and make it double. Nusara, No. 3 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023, and Nuss Bar, featured on the 50 Best Discovery, are throwing birthday parties at the same time. Alongside resident stars Chef Ton and Neung Ronnaporn, they’re also welcoming Chef Peter Cuong Franklin from Ho Chi Minh for the celebration.

Chef Tae Worathon of Kavee kitchen takeover at Spice Market

1-4 August, 6-10.30pm

When it comes to showcasing Thai ingredients through gastronomy, Chef Tae has never let us down. For a limited time only, he’ll be taking over the Kitchen at Anantara Siam’s Spice Market, presenting spice-packed seasonal Thai cuisine in five courses. Highlights include smoked catfish with cream of fried shallots and tamarind gel, as well as river prawn served with bird chilli emulsion and Thai black olive crumbs.

‘From Disco to Disco’ party at W Bangkok

3 August, 8pm onwards

Disco never died, it has been stayin’ alive and well since it was born. Feel the night fever as the ‘From Disco to Disco’ party comes back to the W Lounge. DJs are ready to spin, performers are ready to entertain you all night — you just grab a drink and be ready to feel mighty real. Pick your best company, arrive in your best disco attire, and light the disco inferno.

‘Soul Food, Good Life’ sustainable community event at The Corner House

3-4 August, 10am-10pm

Charoenkrung’s century-old community space The Corner House is being taken over by a whole lot of vendors with the same goal in mind: sustainability. Find something from Earth House to eat, fuel up with coffee from CRANE Coffee Roaster, shop vegan products from L’ATELIER DE HERB and Uncle Ree Farm, and so much more. Workshops are also available in both Thai and English, including making your own vegan makeup powder, free-writing for self-care, and more.

Chiang Mai takes over Rabbit Hole

3 August, 8pm onwards

Taste the Chiang Mai magic as the team of Midlife Crisis CNX and The White Rabbit speakeasy takes over Rabbit Hole. The two staples of the Chiang Mai bar scene are not known only for their inventive drinks, but for their warm hospitality (that’s code for a lot of shots incoming). Eight cocktails, one night only.

Frank Shen and Leon Tan of Laut guest shift at Dry Wave Cocktail Studio

4 August, 7pm-midnight

Singapore’s Laut closed down prematurely due to the pandemic, but they’re back and bolder than ever. Inspired by the diverse ingredients of Southeast Asia, their drinks offer a new dimension to the drinks we’re familiar with. And who would be able to represent them better than the co-founders? Catch Frank and Leon as they come to shake things up at Dry Wave for one lively evening.

“Urban Collectibles 2024” Mango Art Festival at Public House

3-4 August, 11am-9pm; grand opening on 2 August, 6pm

If you have your eye on urban art, this year’s Mango Art Festival will take you on a joyride. Over 100 local and international artists come together to make this event possible, filling Public House with artworks, collectibles, prints, art toys, and a whole lot more. Meet your industry favourites and take in the lively atmosphere at The Pickwicks Chronicles at their industry night. This time around, two Jameson Brand Ambassadors Maeve Gleeson and Moa Chadcha will be working their magic behind the bar for one night only.

“What’s Up Dawg” new loaded hot dogs at 25 Degrees Bangkok

Until 31 August, open 24/7

25 Degrees gives us yet another reason to go back as they debut the “What’s Up Dawg” menu, featuring hot dog buns loaded to the brim with classic flavours and exciting twists. The classic smoked pork sausage with relish can’t be beaten, but chilli dogs are a fun switch-up, or perhaps you’d be enticed to try “The Greek” with lamb sausage, fresh veggies, and coriander yoghurt, as well as “The Late Night Hog Dog,” with pork sausage, sauerkraut, onion rings, and French mustard.
