With over 150 artists and plenty of exciting installations and pop-ups on its roster — one of Asia’s biggest annual electronic dance music (EDM) events is back for its 18th edition. Returning to its home in Goa, the 2024 iteration of Sunburn will keep things eco-friendly by setting into motion several recycling measures. Registrations are now open for 28-30 December.
Having amassed quite the following over its 17-year legacy, popular music festival Sunburn is heading to South Goa for its 2024 edition — set to take place over three days from 28-30 December. With EDM at its heart — there’s plenty of food, fashion, and culture to explore at the event. Complete, with cutting-edge production and the stunning coastal landscape. The theme for this year is ‘underwater world,’ with the decor keeping in line with the magical elements of the ocean.
Sunburn 2024 to go eco-friendly in its ‘long-standing’ home in Goa

Note that the registrations for Sunburn 2024 are now open but the venue is yet to be decided. This year’s celebration comes with the environmental campaign ‘Leave no Trace,’ with principles of ‘recycle, reuse, and restore’ being employed. To this effect, the organisers will strategically place recycling stations for various materials around the venue. Daily cleanups will be conducted as well to ensure the festival grounds are unharmed. This addresses concerns raised by locals and other leaders in Goa regarding the safety and environmental burden of moving the festival from the usual north to the south of the coastal region, considering the latter is known for its quiet personality.

Besides promising better infrastructure and seamless traffic movement, Sunburn is bringing back campsites at the festival to allow attendees to truly immerse themselves in the festival. Also on offer are pop-up fashion stores, a curated food village featuring local and global cuisines, interactive art installations, and plenty of adventure zones. In the spotlight — over 150 top EDM artists from around the world will perform amidst cutting-edge visuals. The lineup, however, is yet to be announced.
