There can be only one exam-style ramen in town, and it’s going to be Ichiran Ramen.
Frequent visitors to Japan may have tasted the Fukuoka-style tonkotsu ramen from Ichiran, the ramen chain known for its exam-like vibe with individual stalls looking like a polling booth and a choice-based menu customisation form.
For the first time, the ramen chain is bringing its authentic tonkotsu pork broth ramen to Thailand, setting to open its first pop-up restaurant at CentralWorld this 11 November – 26 November.
Though there may be certain ramen establishments that look and share the exam-style gimmicks in Bangkok, Ichiran Ramen has never had any full-fledged outlets in Thailand before. In fact, the ramen chain has registered a patent for its aji shuchu counter (focusing on flavour counter booths) and exam-style menu customisation sheets to prevent copycats from utilising its unique approach.
Following its recent pop-up stores in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore, Ichiran Ramen will make its debut on the 3rd floor of CentralWorld’s Nippon Market Zone.
