With the F&B industry gritting their teeth and clutching their pearls in anticipation, the Michelin stars for Thailand have been revealed for 2025. Who gained, retained, or lost stars? Here are all the details, including the first restaurant in Thailand to receive three Michelin stars.
Now in its seventh edition, the Michelin Guide in Thailand covers Bangkok, as well as Chiang Mai, Phuket & Phang-Nga, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Nakhon Ratchasima, Udon Ratchathani, Udon Thani, and Khon Kaen. The four provinces from Isaan region were added last year. This year sees a total of 462 entries from all over Thailand.
This year, we see the first-ever restaurant in Thailand to receive three Michelin stars, the most coveted award an establishment could get. Sorn, helmed by Chef Ice Supaksorn, officially makes history.

For the first time ever, we have one three star restaurant on the list.
A number of special awards are given to establishment for various accolades, including service, hospitality, and more. This year’s list includes:
An establishment can receive up to three stars. According to the Michelin Guide, one star is awarded for top quality ingredients, and distinct flavours prepared consistently with high standards. Two is for when the personality and talent of the chef are present in the dishes, all while retaining top standard. Three is for when the the dishes prove that the chefs are at the peak of their profession, with some dishes destined to become classics.
The Michelin describes the Bib Gourmand list as a “just-as-esteemed rating that recognises friendly establishments that serve good food at moderate prices.” This year features a total of 156 venues, including 20 new entries, and spanning over 15 cuisines.
The list totals to 52 dining spots in Bangkok and surrounding provinces, 9 in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, 20 in Chiang Mai, 13 in Khon Kaen, 8 in Nakhon Ratchasima, 6 in Ubon Ratchathani, 6 in Udon Thani, 4 in Ko Samui, 8 in Surat Thani Mainland, 6 in Phang-Nga, 19 in Phuket, and 5 in Chon Buri.
