As much as we adore the JLC Reverso, we can’t help but admit the chokehold Jaeger-LeCoultre 101 has on us. First introduced in 1929, this timepiece is an absolute marvel. It features the world’s smallest mechanical calibre, the 101, wrapped around a double-line bracelet with over 11 carats of round brilliant diamonds. The timepiece is so exquisite it is no wonder the 101 has become an icon on royal wrists and red carpets alike. It is truly a watch so small yet holds so much power. . – Tipapa Chandarasrivongs, Content Writer
It’s been a week since Dior Gold House opened its doors, and we still can’t stop talking about it. It’s such a thrill to see the luxury brand stepping out of the shopping mall scene and debuting a standalone concept store in Bangkok, especially after the massive success of their silver-toned store in Korea.
The Dior Gold House is like a dream. It showcases the brand’s signature pieces from each season but takes it a step further with a dedicated Lady Dior Room, featuring collaborations with other artists. There’s also Café Dior where three-Michelin-star Chef Mauro Colagreco has created a delectable dessert menu.
The interior blends Dior’s signature elegance with a Thai twist, as they partnered with several Thai artists to create a reimagined “kingdom of dreams” that will evolve with the seasons and collections, all while celebrating the cultural richness of Thailand. The Dior Gold House is now open on Ploenchit Road for everyone to visit. – Pannatorn Tamnipanon, Senior Writer
Marking a half-century of craftsmanship, The Balvenie Fifty Collection stands as one of the oldest whisky collections, celebrating not only the brand’s milestone but also the artistry and precision behind its legacy. This extraordinary collection features three editions, each telling the story of over 50 years of whiskey maturation at the Speyside distillery. It begins with a 1973 refill European oak cask, followed by a second 1973 American oak cask, and concludes with an American oak cask filled in 1974. The first edition of The Balvenie Fifty Collection was unveiled at Harrods on 7 August 2024, marking a historic moment for whisky enthusiasts worldwide. – Aekkachai Angkulthivakorn, Managing Editor
Back for round two, Onitsuka Tiger has teamed up with Astro Boy once again, but this time, the robot gets a fresh update. Switching out his iconic red boots for Tiger Yellow ones, this collab brings a bold new vibe to the mix. The new collection features hoodies and T-shirts in Astro Boy’s signature red and grey but with a vintage feel thanks to distressing techniques. If you look closely, you’ll spot hints of Onitsuka Tiger’s signature yellow throughout the products like the drawstrings. – P.T., Senior Writer
The new collection will be available from 20 December onwards at the Onitsuka Tiger Global Flagship Store in Siam Square One and online.
A few weeks ago, The Macallan unveiled two new releases as part of their 200th anniversary celebration—the TIME: SPACE collection. Held at Nusara, LSA was invited to this tasting.
The first release is called “TIME: SPACE Mastery,” which is a beautifully crafted blend of select casks that convey The Macallan’s heritage, whereas the second “TIME: SPACE” is an 84-year-old single malt, the oldest The Macallan has ever released. This remarkable creation brings together two whiskies: an 84-year-old and a 5-year-old, encased in two bottles sitting inside one another, all housed in red packaging adorned with 200 thorns.
This masterpiece tasted rich, aromatic, and textured, with notes of marzipan and hints of sweetness. Gliding smoothly across the palate, a whiskey like this isn’t just a drink; it’s an experience that was made even more special by the dishes paired alongside it. – T.C., Content Writer
The beloved French fragrance brand Le Labo has officially opened its first-ever standalone store in Thailand. Situated right in Ari, this new boutique marks a major moment as the brand’s first street location in the country. Designed with the “Wabi-Sabi” concept in mind, the space celebrates the beauty of imperfection. Think muted shades of red, warm wood tones, and soft greys, all balanced with modern touches that give the store its distinct character. Of course, you’ll find Le Labo’s iconic lineup here: perfumes, scented candles, skincare, and unique collectables, including the Holiday Limited Collection. – P.T., Senior Writer
