The dancing fluffy bear mascot has captured the hearts of many in Bangkok and all over the world. With hundreds of thousands of followers on Instagram, her live shows at her shop in Emsphere have been an attraction that keeps the ground floor crowded. Although a nepo baby (creator is the heir of the Coffee Beans by Dao restaurant), she’s smashing the glass ceiling by being the first mute bear mascot, a a remarkable step for the bear community.

Nonetheless, all roses have their thorns. Butterbear’s path to fame with the announcement of her first “Fam Meeting,” essentially a fan meeting spelled in a way that make her fans feel more included, has caused quite the scandal.

If you want to visit Butterbear prancing on stage at her concert, the ticket price starts from THB 1,900 — perfect if you want to view Butterbear at her concert as a light brown blip from a distance. Prices increase thereafter, and it will cost you THB 5,900 to see her up close. There’s also another way to watch: via streaming, but the ticket is priced at THB 890 a piece.

Many say it’s quite a bold price considering Butterbear does not possess the physical ability sing. This steep pricing has hit mainstream social media, prompting more questions if buying the tickets is worth it, even if you’re a fan.

A lot of followers have also expressed their discontent, saying how the price is way too high without any reason, also considering the venue at MGI Hall in Rama 9 area. One fan commented “if you’re poor, just don’t buy,” while another wishes good health to the mascot bear. It is a wild time.
