No. 75 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2023, and named the best bar in The Philippines by Travel + Leisure Asia, The Backroom presents old-world sophistication with drinks and hospitality to match. Located in the bustling city of Taipei, Bar Without offers elegant cocktails and warm hospitality for those who need it after a long day. Dekmantel Soundsystem may sound familiar to EDM enthusiasts. They’re responsible for the three-day Amsterdam music festival Dekmantel, and one of the founders Casper Tielrooij will be closing out the club. Bangkok’s own Sarayu of More Rice, and Jayjah of NeverNormal will be providing supporting sets. Booking online prior to the event is highly recommended.

6 April, 4pm onwards
Everybody say, “Happy birthday, Tropic City!” Bangkok’s long-standing tiki sensation is celebrating their 6th anniversary, and you know that the party is always on at Tropic City. As the impressive lineup of DJs provide groovy beats, a series of guest bartenders will come in to make sure the hospitality is as warm as our climate. The lineup includes Fahbeer of Lost in Thaislation, Filippo of Lennon’s, Gotji of Sugarray Group, as well as Jake Erder and Edgar Santillan of Honky Tonks Tavern, Hong Kong. THB 200 entry fee after 8pm.

Intangible is a beloved bar in Chiang Mai. They don’t serve alcohol; all the drinks are non-alcoholic, and this proves that you don’t need alcohol to create complex flavour profiles or just to have a good time in general. Taste the inventive approach to drinking culture as Key flies in for a flight of drinks with a couple of pairing bites through this limited-capacity collab.

Jakarta-born Nita Aartsen is a classical and jazz music sensation in Indonesia. Having started to play piano at the age of five, she rose to become the state pianist of the Republic of Indonesia — a dream for Asian parents around the world. For one night only, she’ll be bringing in some good Latin jazz to Charoenkrung. It’s first come, first serve, so call up your friends and make plans.

7 April, 12.30-3.30pm
As The St. Regis Bangkok marks another year of great hospitality, they’re celebrating with a huge brunch in The St. Regis fashion, turning the whole 12th floor into a party area. VIU will be providing the brunch experience with a selection of quality ingredients cooked to perfection into cuisines from all over the world, from the roasted Australian black Angus tomahawk, to the yellow curry with Ranong blue crab. The St. Regis Bar will be serving free-flow cocktails with booths and trolleys, and the one Michelin-starred IGNIV has its own station for guests to pop by.
