Hua Hin Marathon organised by the Preserve Hua Hin Group will be held for the fourth time at Wat Khao Krailart on Sunday May 12, 2024.
The Hua Hin Marathon is one of the biggest marathon events in Thailand, arranged with the purpose to support sustainability projects in this leisure district. The goals of this 2024 event include to motivate the public to commit to physical fitness, to raise awareness for the environmental and social sustainability issues, and to raise funds for the Hua Hin Mangrove Ecosystem Development Project in Wat Khao Krailart.
The race comes under the theme of ‘Run2gether’, which also invites visually challenged and hearing impaired runners to join. They will be assisted by volunteers who run side by side throughout the race.
In the dawn of the day, the route starts and finishes at Khao Krailart temple in Khao Takiab, with proper footpath and lush environment to admire as the sun emerges from the horizon.
After the 2023 edition had the chance to welcome the multi-Guinness World Record ultramarathon champion Sufiya Sufi as well as Thailand’s triathlete Tulyatep Uawithya, this year’s edition is expected to attract 3,500 runners in a range of distances – 5km, 10km, 21km, and 42km.
The first male and female winners will be awarded the Royal Trophy granted by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
The Hua Hin Marathon registration is open until 30 April 2024.
