They’ll be in your area once again. K-pop superstars BLACKPINK confirmed that they will embark on a world tour in 2025. Here’s what we know so far.
The 21-second teaser clip shows massive venues packed with BLINKS, who are all waving the group’s signature hammer-shaped lightstick. Then, it features members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa on the stage followed by the words “BLACKPINK 2025 WORLD TOUR”.
While BLACKPINK confirmed their world tour this year, they have yet to reveal the tour’s stops and dates. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that Bangkok is part of the tour, although it is likely. Stay tuned in the coming months for updates.
Previously, YG Entertainment confirmed that BLACKPINK will make a comeback and embark on a tour in 2025. The company still oversees their group activities while all the members are signed to different labels for their individual endeavours. BLACKPINK was last in Hong Kong and Macau in 2023 for their “Born Pink” tour. Lisa also visited Hong Kong for a solo concert while Jisoo will hold a fan meeting in Macau this year.
Recently, the members have been primarily focused on their solo careers. Rosé released her solo album in December 2024 alongside the smash hit ‘APT’ featuring Bruno Mars. Jisoo expanded her acting portfolio with a slew of upcoming dramas. She is currently in the Amazon Prime series Newtopia.
Meanwhile, Lisa’s album ‘Alter Ego’ is set for a February release and she will make her acting debut in the third season of The White Lotus. Jennie also ventured into acting in The Idol and will release her album ‘Ruby’ in March.
Since their debut in 2016, BLACKPINK has become one of South Korea’s most successful groups. A leading force in the Korean Wave, the group is the highest-charting Korean girl group on the US Billboard Hot 100. Their studio albums ‘The Album’ and ‘Born Pink” broke the record for best-selling album by a female act in South Korea.
The quartet is also one of the best-selling girl groups of all time. The Born Pink World Tour, which spanned 2022 to 2023, became the highest-grossing concert tour by a female group and Asian act.
