As the team of Sukhumvit’s party place Rimshot is waiting for their new venue in Sathorn, they’re opening “Adjust,” a non-permanent bar that pops up every Thursday till Saturday. They’re also bringing in DJs for some entertainment, as well as a rotation of new cocktails every week. Plus, the red and black interior makes for great photo opps.
You can find more information at Adjust BKK.
18 April, 6-9.30pm
The classic fish & chips never fail to impress the crowd, and at Kai New Zealand, they’re bringing the Pacific to the plates. They have a selection of local catches and New Zealand wild-caught fish, ready for you to be chosen, battered, deep fried into beautiful golden brown, and served with fries and housemade tartar. Did we mention it’s all-you-can-eat?
You can find more information at Kai New Zealand.
21 April, 2-5.30pm
Buddha & Pals is located in a century-old building. With its rustic charm and warm lighting, we cannot imagine a better venue for a swing dance session. DJ Jumpin’Jive will be behind the booth for the social dance — don’t miss the chance to swing, jive, and let loose before you return to work. No experience? No worries, as there’s an open class from 2-2.30pm.
You can find more information at Buddha & Pals.
19-21 April, 6-10.30pm
Summer and mayongchid treats go hand-in-hand. From cakes to trifles, it’s a refreshing and tasty way to enjoy some great meals for the season. One of the more underrated ingredients is the mud crab, as it’s their peak spawning time. Have them steamed whole with garlic butter sauce or the more tangy green chili and lime, and you’re in for a good time. Orchid Café is serving all of those as part of their dinner buffet every Friday-Sunday until 2 June, 2024.
You can find more information at Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit.
Until 31 May, 7pm onwards
With the intense summer heat in full swing, take a seat and ride the waves of Dry Wave Cocktail Studio’s seasonal menus made with bright and refreshing seasonal fruits. Need a little pick-me-up? The “Coconut” is a tequila-based cocktail with organic coconut water, earl grey, and longan salt. Or perhaps the “Melon” will wave the heat away — a drink made with Bombay Sapphire gin, melon liqueur, fresh green melon, lychee, and pomelo saccharum. If those don’t scratch the itch, watermelon, Marian plum, tomato, and jackfruit are also available.
You can find more information at Dry Wave Cocktail Studio.
From today onwards, 12-5.30pm
Executive Chef Ryan Dadufalza is taking us around the world in one seating, letting us taste how honey is utilised in different parts of the Earth. From sweet to savoury, taste the ever-impressive allure of honey in various items — Pesto Calabrese from Italy, caviar and stuffed onion from Greece, honey cake from Russia, honey scones from the UK, and so many more to try.
You can find more information at Conrad Bangkok.
Available daily upon reservation, 2-4pm
Mixology is an art, and every step of the process is key to a good drink. Let the team at Rogues Bar teach you all about that as they let you practice how to shake, stir, and choose the right spirits for whichever kind of cocktail you’re looking to create. The magic behind the bar is only a few steps away — don’t let your dreams of opening your own home bar be just dreams.
