A Jujutsu Kaisen exhibition is happening Malaysia, featuring over 100 character drawings, life-sized statues, exclusive merch, and more. Maybe Bangkok next?
Get ready, Jujutsu Kaisen fans — Malaysia is the first in Southeast Asia to host the Animation Jujutsu Kaisen Exhibition, and it’s nothing short of a spellbinding experience. Now open until 20 October at Fahrenheit88 in Kuala Lumpur, this exhibition transports you straight into the heart of the beloved anime, with over 100 character action line drawings brought to life by the renowned animation studio MAPPA. But that’s just the beginning—expect to be awestruck by life-sized statues of iconic characters, immersive recreations of key locations, and exclusive behind-the-scenes peeks into the making of the series.
For the uninitiated, Jujutsu Kaisen—the brainchild of Gege Akutami—first appeared in 2018 in the pages of Shonen Jump and was adapted into an anime by MAPPA in 2020. The series follows Yuji Itadori, an ordinary teenager whose world turns upside down when he swallows a cursed object: a finger that once belonged to the most feared Curse, Sukuna. As a result, Yuji becomes the vessel for Sukuna’s immense power, making him a target for execution by Jujutsu sorcerers. However, the formidable sorcerer Satoru Gojo sees Yuji’s potential and offers him a choice: face immediate execution or help recover and consume all of Sukuna’s remaining fingers to eliminate the Curse forever. Choosing the latter, Yuji dives into the dangerous and thrilling world of Jujutsu sorcery at Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School.
