Back in October, it was rumoured that K-pop star G-Dragon would hold concerts in Hong Kong and Macau as part of his world tour in 2025. While the rapper didn’t confirm the dates and cities yet, he did announce that he will officially be touring in 2025. He made the announcement on his Instagram account with the caption, “G-DRAGON WORLD TOUR [Übermensch]”.

G-Dragon also wrote “More details on the tour will be released at a later date. We look forward to your love and support.” Hong Kong fans will certainly keep their fingers crossed for a concert (or concerts — if we’re lucky) in the city.

BigBang’s G-Dragon confirms Übermensch solo world tour in 2025

News of G-Dragon’s world tour has been swirling since last year. BigBang member Daesung seemingly confirmed the news during Taeyang’s concert in Seoul. He said that “G-Dragon’s concert is in March” and that he may “hold [his] first solo concert in Korea soon too.” The Korean Herald also reported that G-Dragon confirmed the news of his solo concert in Seoul, which will be his first show as a soloist in nearly eight years.

In addition, the King of K-pop is busy gearing up for the release of his third studio album, ‘Übermensch’ which is also the name of his upcoming world tour. The album will drop on February 25 and will be his first studio album in more than a decade after ‘Coup d’Etat’ in 2013.

Ahead of the album release, the rapper released two singles ‘Power’ in October 2014 and ‘Home Sweet Home’ in collaboration with other BigBang members in November 2024. Furthermore, he will also host a new musical variety show Good Day which will be released on Disney+ on February 16. The rapper will also perform at the Head in the Clouds music festival in Los Angeles.
