Miss Universe 2025 is coming to Thailand for its 74th Edition

Miss Universe will return to Thailand in 2025, marking the fourth time the country has hosted the international pageant.

The announcement was made by Anne Jakrajutatip, CEO of Miss Universe and president of JKN Global Group, confirming that Miss Universe 2025 will take place in Thailand. The country was chosen from seven candidates, including Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Spain, South Africa, Nigeria, and the Philippines.

A video presentation featuring reigning Miss Universe Victoria Theilvig confirmed the location, with Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket as key host cities. The final competition is scheduled for November 21, at Impact Arena in Nonthaburi, airing in the morning in Thailand and on the evening of November 20 in the United States. The event will extend beyond a single evening, as contestants will spend several weeks in Thailand participating in fashion showcases, charity initiatives, and cultural programs designed to highlight the country’s heritage and growing influence in the creative industries.

During the announcement, Jakrajutatip emphasised the competition’s evolution through the 3Ps strategy – Pageantry, Platform, and Products, which aims to extend the brand’s reach into fashion, beauty, and lifestyle industries. Additional details on ticket sales, accommodation packages, and partnerships with designers, makeup artists, and sponsors will be revealed in the coming months

Thailand last hosted Miss Universe in 2018, when Catriona Gray of the Philippines won the title. The country has previously been the host nation in 1992, and 2005, but it has been decades since a Thai contestant claimed the crown. The country’s two Miss Universe winners were Porntip Nakhirunkanok in 1988 and Apasra Hongsakula in 1965. With its strong connection to the pageant and a reputation for hospitality, Thailand is set to deliver an exciting edition of Miss Universe 2025.
