Los Angeles Times writer Dakota Kim said that the show “reveals another side of the fierce septet” as boy band members Jungkook, V, Jimin, SUGA, j-hope, RM and Jin talk about how they were affected by the pandemic, along with providing “a view into rustic life, from the time-honoured Korean tradition of cooking outdoors to learning how to fish.”
Meanwhile, IN THE SOOP: Friendcation ranked #1 in Japan and #2 in South Korea after its release in July 2022, according to K-media outlet Kpopmap. A spin-off of IN THE SOOP, the travel show captures Korean stars Peakboy, Park Seo-joon, Choi Woo-shik, Park Hyung-sik and V of BTS enjoying their time off in Goseong County, South Korea.
