WWDC 2024 internet reactions: A lot of Apple Intelligence and a whole lot of Craig Federighi

From Elon Musk to Samsung poking fun at its competitor, these are some of the best reactions on the Internet to Apple’s WWDC 2024.

The keynote that kicked off Apple’s annual Worldwide Developer’s Conference 2024 or WWDC 2024 unveiled a number  of software features coming to Apple devices in the coming days like iOS 18 and the integration of Apple Intelligence. Much like every other keynote that the company does, people took to the internet to share their thoughts and reactions, mostly in meme form, about Apple’s announcements. There are many who are excited about what the company announced but there are also naysayers who made their thoughts known—including one of Apple’s own competitors.

One of the major things that Apple announced in their WWDC keynote was Apple Intelligence, which is the name they’ve given to the artificial intelligence feature that’s coming in future software updates. Netizens have noted how Apple has coyly dubbed it Apple Intelligence instead of artificial intelligence, and they’ve shared a few thoughts on it. In fact, even Elon Musk poked fun at Apple’s collaboration with OpenAI, the makers of ChatGPT.

Some people seemed to not care too much about what Apple announced and were instead entranced by the silver-haired senior vice president of software engineering Craig Federighi, who was the main presenter of the keynote. Apparently, this is nothing new: Federighi has been garnering a fanbase for a few years now and has a few fan edits on TikTok. Seriously.

But perhaps the most surprising reaction is one that criticised the keynote. There are, of course, no shortage of Apple naysayers, but this one is a significant one: the official Twitter account of Samsung US has made some spicy comments regarding the keynote, though one user was quick to also poke fun at Samsung saying they must be Apple fans for watching the event.

Here are our picks for the best reactions on the Internet about WWDC 2024.
